Funeral Pre-Planning Considerations
Pre-planning a funeral gives you the opportunity to provide for your family at your own passing. It is a classic spiritual practice to reflect on and be prepared for death and life eternal.
To pre-plan your funeral at All Souls, fill out the Planning Form as much as you can, and then contact the Parish Office. Our Bereavement Intake Coordinator will contact you to complete the process. A copy of your complete pre-planning form will be kept with the Director of Pastoral Care and Outreach. Another set of copies should be given to a family member, as well as the funeral home if you bought a package from them.
The funeral options or elements to consider when pre-planning a funeral are:
Readings
What reading will be read during the service, and who will read them?
Music
What music would you want sung at the funeral? (selections must be from an approved list)
Location
Generally, the funerals at All Souls take place at the Historic Chapel. There is an option for larger funerals to be located at the church on SR 46.
