2023 SVdP Scholarship
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Educational Financial Assistance Program in memory of Anthony Cipparone was created to assist students from schools located in the geographical boundaries of Seminole and/or Volusia Counties, or attending Bishop Moore or Father Lopez Catholic High Schools.
The awards are for students of any faith who are entering a post-secondary course of study at an accredited four-year college, university or technical school. Financial aid of up to $2000 per scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school and community activities, and personal qualities and strength. The scholarship money will be deposited in a student's account at his/her school of choice.
To be eligibile, a student must have a GPA of at least 2.5, and be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours. Applicants MUST complete and verify FAFSA, (i.e., a Pell Grant), and apply for other scholarships or loans. The SVDP Scholarship application may be found here or may be picked up at the All Souls Catholic Church parish office, located at 301 W. 8th Street, Sanford, Florida (M-F 8:00am to 4:00pm).
All applications and required materials must be fully completed and electronically submitted or postmarked by March 21, 2023. Those applicants chosen as semi-finalists will be notified of their status, and must be available one evening for an in-person interview sometime between April 17-28, 2023. Recipients should plan to attend a SVDP Scholarship Awards Ceremony at 7 PM, on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Sanford, Florida.
